As much as we love our pet cats, we know how clever, mischievous, and mysterious they can be. One of life’s great mysteries is how they always slip out into the yard. If you have a cat, here are some fence ideas to accommodate your feline friend.
Put Nets in Your Wood Fence
Your wooden fence doesn’t have to be your only option for keeping your cat inside your yard. Although you might think your cat can’t slide through the gaps, you should think otherwise. They’ll surprise you, and this is one surprise you don’t want. So, how do make sure your pet can’t get out? Add some netting to your wood fence. The netting will need a sturdy pole to hold it up. Attach this pole to your wood fence and the net itself. Next, create a forty-five-degree angle so the net is curved and loose enough that your cat won’t be able to hang onto it. Frustrating your cat sounds mean, but eventually they’ll get bored and go do something else…such as investigate the palace you’re putting together for them.
Build a Cat Paradise
Another idea is to turn part of your backyard into a cat paradise. If you have a cat tower, or even a cardboard box in your home, you know your cat likes to hide in anything vaguely square-shaped. If you have a patio, upgrade it so your cat can have as much fun on it as you would. Assemble an obstacle course and put in plenty of catnip. You might also just want to get a window perch for your cat to gaze out on its kingdom. Ultimately, the choice is yours.
